About Murray McGill

While growing up in British Columbia, Canada, Murray McGill lived in several logging communities. The most unique community was a floating "camp" that was once familiar along the B.C. coast. Some of his stories come from that time period and there are a few photos that show the floating houses.

Murray took a year off from College to make some money and to make a final decision on Academic direction. But during that year he tried commercial fishing and somehow never got back to school - he was hooked. And the next year he got hooked again - this time by a beautiful, young woman named Linda.

His wife, two children, and crew fished with him for salmon on a 58 foot seine boat. Murray presently lives in Port Hardy on the north end of Vancouver Island. This area is surrounded by pristine beauty, mountains, and ocean. It is one of the top destinations in the world for fishing, diving, caving, and outdoors exploration. It's just a good place to live.

Murray and Linda have now moved to Creston BC as of September 2017.
